Reopening of the Roman centre of the Museum of Mértola

Under the initiative "Remember Serrão Martins", of the Municipality of Mértola, the Roman museum centre reopens to the public on the 27th of March, at 17h30.
 
The permanent exhibition of this museum centre, established 24 years ago, was completely overhauled, featuring new findings from the archaeological excavations carried out in Mértola in recent years, and with changes to the content and graphic design of the informative media.

The renovation of this museum center was made possible by the project “Urban Network for Heritage”, funded by Inalentejo, and with the cooperation of Mértola’s Archaeological Site with regard to the update of content and conservation and restoration of objects.
